Inheritance is everything that is left behind after one's death, whatever one gives during his lifetime is considered to be a gift, hence it will be ruled by rules and regulations of gift. Gift should be given equally to the children, Notwithstanding of the sex. In the presence of children the grandchildren are not entitled to inheritance, However a will can be drawn in their favour to the extent of one third of the whole estate.
